The Same Day Edit

When the Same Day Edit (SDE) started gaining popularity a few years ago, Modern 8 Films thought “Would couples really want to see footage from their wedding day played at the reception? What impact would it have on the guests? Would they connect with it?” As requests for SDE’s came in and we started to feature them at receptions, all our questions were answered. We honestly were surprised at the emotional reaction it produced. It’s hard to describe the impact a SDE has on an audience. For one thing, it has consistently brought grooms to tears.. One bride said “My husband didn’t cry when he saw me come down the isle but he cried when he say it replayed on the SDE!” A wedding day is so fast paced and so much is missed by the couple… being able to see the moments of their day while they are still living in the emotion of it is priceless. The SDE is not for everyone, but for those that have experienced it, they count it among the most memorable moments of their wedding.
