Ryan + Dave
Ryan & Dave’s wedding was full of sentiment and nuance. A day that brought family together to celebrate their love and the memory of those who had gone before… An “off the charts amazing day” captured with super 8 film and HD video at Camp Cabernet Saddlerock Ranch, Malibu CA.
“Both Dave & I, and our parents/families who have watched the video are simply floored by the beauty and sentiment you were able to capture from the day. Both sets of parents, and of course Papa Jim, reported watching in tears. Dave said that the film was so touching, and such a great way to be able to re-live the day, and to see ourselves from the outside. He said he felt like it brought him back to when we were standing up there, and that watching it was just a flood of emotions. As I watched (and re-watched, and re-watched) the film, I was so grateful that we got in touch with you to make this film happen. Even from just this first six minutes, I can tell that it is exactly what I had hoped for–a gorgeous “time capsule” of the day, put together with thought, care, and the skills of two artists. I remember when I used to watch other people’s Modern 8 highlight films on your blog, and how I would cry, even though the couple were strangers to me. Now, I get it–I can completely see how strangers could watch our film, get this peek into our lives and our family, and be brought to that level of emotion. We CANNOT WAIT to see the rest of it! You are both so incredibly talented. My brother said ‘I can’t believe they could do that, just them. It looks like it was shot on a movie set!’ So, thank you Ted & Alanna, we ADORE your work and are so happy to have met and worked with you.” -Ryan Eagle
Jack + Judy
Fall in love with Jack & Judy… They are adorable! Check out their awesome venue too, The Carondelet House in downtown Los Angeles.

Mckenzie + Kenny
This past year we started offering a full service package called “The Whole Shebang” We had found that most of our couples were doing really cool stuff the day before their wedding and so we wanted to create a package that could incorporate their entire wedding weekend, not just the few hours surrounding their nuptials. “The Whole Shebang” has quickly become our most popular package and we are excited to share some of the adventures this has brought us on along the way. Mckenzie and Kenny’s wedding, filmed in Super 8 and Hd Video, is a great place to start and a good example of why it just might be fun to have a video crew come along for the ride.
This wedding was 9000 feet at the top of Squaw Valley Ski Resort! Guests were lead up the mountain by a three piece Irish band. The spot they chose was in memory of Mckenzie’s father… his favorite ski run. Mckenzie and Kenny have a great love for music and found ways to incorporate this throughout their weekend, starting with a live performance by The Hackensaw Boys at the Friday night welcome party. Their performance kicks off the film and we couldn’t have come up with a better soundtrack to introduce you to this adventuresome duo…
“We love love love the film so much. Thank you for bringing that moment to life for us again. You two are so incredibly talented. The band is going to love seeing it too. Thank you for all your hard work. We are really grateful. We hope you are doing really well. We can’t wait to see more. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!” – Mckenzie & Kenny
Chelsea + Johnny
A wedding at the Intercontinental Hotel in Downtown LA.
“YOU GUYS!!! Eeeeee!!! We are over the moon happy watching this video (over and over and over)! It gives me the goosiest goosebumps and takes us back to our fairytale wedding day. WHAT A DAY OF JOY! It is such a blessing to have had you capture these meaningful and touching moments. Having our vows and first kiss as husband and wife on film (and Johnny’s premature kiss attempt! ha!) is priceless. You both add something magical to your work and it truly shows. We can’t thank you enough! ” – Chelsea
LOS ANGELES WEDDING INFO:
Brittany + Jeff
We love this wedding!! The location (Toronto Canada!), the bride’s dress, her flowered wreath, the groom’s awesome hair, the venue (Casa Loma & The Drake Hotel… LOVE), and the simple sweetness of their reception speeches. In May we traveled to Toronto Canada to film Brittany & Jeff’s big day and little did we know we had a TON of friends in common! It quickly felt like we were part of the family. One of our favorite moments was when Brittany practiced her vows in the car ride to the ceremony… or maybe it was the long walk with her dad to the alter? Ether way this was a special day filled with laughter, love, and joy.
“WOW WOW WOW. We cannot tell you how amazing it was to get this email, it’s one of the last nights of our honeymoon and to watch this tonight was the perfect ending. From start to finish we love every moment, our names on the train at the beginning, the song choice and the voice over, the mix of super 8 & HD, everything is more amazing than we even remembered it or ever thought it would be on video! We both keep saying we’re just so so happy that it worked out to have you there, no one else could have captured those moments and put them together like that. We can’t wait to share it! You guys are the best!” – Brittany & Jeff
TORONTO WEDDING INFO:
Allie + Elliot
First of all we absolutely LOVE this venue! Leo Carrillo Ranch in Carlsbad, CA is the ultimate in DIY rustic California. It was the perfect backdrop for this creative and talented duo Allie & Elliot (or Alliot as their friends affectionately refer to them). There were so many unique details we loved but can you believe the groom’s mom made Allie’s amazing dress?!? And she made Elliot’s super cool bow tie too! Oh! And the food was to die for! Check out Miho Gastrotruck!
“EEEK! Thanks so much for this! It’s so great!! I’m gonna go watch it 500 more times now! I just scared the crap out of elliot when I woke him up to watch it with me. This is amazingly beautiful and sweet. You did a wonderful job (as usual) of capturing it! I LOOOOVE the intro – everything about it. And how you used the peacock howls to lead perfectly into the song! So SOOO good. The song is really cute and sweet and fits perfectly too. What percent of you choosing that song had to do with it KINDA sounding like peacocks?? I really love all the little detail cut-ins you have, (as always they tell the story so well, and really paint a beautiful picture) and it’s hilarious that you used that beer opening shot! HA! The Elliot crying shot is great, of course. You guys are SO talented.” – Allie

Jeeho + Richie
Time to take the plunge… What better way to start off the day then a poolside hang-out at the ACE Hotel in Palm Springs? Richie & Jeeho had a super cool style so we wanted to began their film with a little something outside the box. Filming underwater is always a matter of happy accidents and unexpected moments, which pretty much sums up what a wedding day is and should always be…
“THANK YOU SO MUCH! Is it embarassing to admit that by 7am this morning we had already watched this a gajllion times? We love it! Thanks for capturing all the moments and the emotions of the day. It’s also so awesome to be able to see everybody again – take me back to palm springs please!” – Jeeho
