As catering manager of the Carmel Mountain Ranch Country Club, Sarah knew exactly how to put on a successful wedding but on the day of her own wedding she would have to just simply be a bride. All the work and planning of the wedding was put to the test on that day and from our standpoint it was definitely a success.. a testament to the expert coordination of Theory Wedding and Events. Oh and Emily Faulknor Photographers rocks! (of course we are kinda partial to husband and wife teams:) A big thanks to the country club for their hospitality, we thoroughly enjoyed working at this beautiful San Diego venue.
Had a blast at Casey & Janine’s wedding on Saturday at the Ebell Los Angeles along with Brandon Kidd Photography! We of course had to take advantage of the fabulous photo wall by Hollywood Photo Booth. Event coordinated by So Happy Together… Check back soon for video highlights!
Inside Weddings recently discussed the issue of stress on your wedding day and how it relates to your final video and photos. A stressed out bride or groom is hard to hide, as photoshop and studio edits can only do so much. How can you remain calm on your big day? Inside Weddings has a great article with a few important reminders such as: How to minimize stress, How to stick to a Schedule, and also a few helpful suggestions on lighting that we totally agree with. Its our job to make you look your best but a few tips on how you can help may go a long way. So schedule that ‘day of’ spa treatment and read this article…
A wedding day is really made whole by the people who share that day with you. Making it memorable… special, and uniquely yours. Friends share the excitement and often amplify the moments. That was the case with Gabe & Margie who had not only a large support group of friends and family on their day but also the love of their life… Stanley (the Bulldog). We were joined by one of our favs: Suzanne Hansen of She Wanders Photography.
Mike & Kristina wanted to tell their guests the story of what lead to their wedding in San Diego last month, to give them the answer to “why” they had fallen in love. Played during their reception, there was laughter, tears, and new memories made. And of course the ever classic line: “If i have to put the toilet seat down a few more times to be with the woman i love.. so be it.” Shot on location in San Clemente, CA
We love it when the friends of the bride & groom really express themselves during the reception. It results in some very touching & sometimes hilarious narrative… bringing the final video alive with personality and character. Wes and Rosy had a beautiful wedding at La Valencia in La Jolla, CA and their not so shy friends brought a lot of love and a lot of laughter to the evening. Coordinated by Krystel of Couture Events, and photographed by the very talented Teale Photography team.
Last Friday we enjoyed shooting the wedding of Clarissa & Joseph at the Museum of Photographic Arts in Balboa Park, San Diego. Since they had decided to get married in the MOPA theater they came to us for a short film that could be played on the theater screen just before they walked down they isle. We really had a great time shooting this short love story and we must admit, it was pretty cool to see it on the big screen…
The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe in San Diego… the perfect setting for a sweet romantic May wedding. This couple was super fun… Scott was especially fond of the camera and Kelsey was just plain stunning! Watching them you knew this was a couple that loved their friends, loved their family, and loved to laugh. All these elements brought a very special carefree happy feeling to their San Diego wedding. Expertly coordinated by Stacie Barba of A Day of Elegance, florals by Linda Brown, and photos by Heather Vallentyne of Vallentyne Photography – one of our favorite San Diego photographers. A special thanks to the inn for the late night cookies and cappuccinos!
“It is a consensus- everyone who has viewed our wedding video agrees that you truly captured the mood, lighting, details, and people that made the affair so special. We were BLOWN AWAY by the finished product!!! During filming, we hardly even knew you were there. You have a great eye for angles, lighting, and editing. The music was PERFECT! We have watched the video 5 times already because we love it so much!! You did truly spectacular work, and it was a pleasure working with you from start to finish. It is wonderful to have memories of our wedding day captured with such style- we will most certainly enjoy it for years to come.”
Finally a blog that understands the importance of music at your wedding. From the song that you walk down the aisle to, until the very last dance Hi Fi Weddings invites you to share your wedding playlist…or to gather ideas from other like-minded brides and grooms. And while they love music of all sounds and notes, they’d like to focus on those that want their wedding mix to be less “Top 40″ and more of music that is true to the soul. Providing artists and songs for music lovers uniting on their special day! For music and ideas visit them at www.hifiweddings.com
